You know, my school schedule is not all that busy this semester, but somehow the time gets filled up with impromptu and planned fun time.

Well, Christmas cooking went well, although the gingerbread cookies involved much more flour than the recipe called for, just to make sure they didn't stick. Which they still did. In retrospect, I shouldn't have used the wooden cutting board, even with all the flour, because I ended up using a knife to scrape up the dough that got stuck.

I've already been sick this season!  My throat is achy and dry-feeling, so I've been desperately gulping down Emergen-C and eating oranges.  I don't have time to be sick! I'm going camping and finishing my permits and doing Open House stuff!

Not that they were ever really down.  I have almost got the final word on studying in Japan this summer, but not. Quite. Yet.  Mass e-mails and phone calls will occur when that happens.  The representative in Tokyo has contacted everyone saying that they've sent stuff to the host institutions, and they just need official word from the hosts.
